Royal Air Force Station Cottesmore Visit 0

Senior members of the National Sikh Museum and the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Derby, spent a day with the Royal Air Force. The visit was hosted by the Station Commander Group Captain Waterfall and Squadron Leader Tamzin Keenlyside. The visit offered the chance to see behind the scenes of a fully operational flying unit.
The days events were closed with a presentation of a Station Plaque, a signed Squadron print and a Royal Air Force turban and cap badge.

The National Sikh Museum were proud to host both the Army and Royal Air Force during its recent remembrance ceremony that took place on 7th November 2009.
It is believed to be very first occasion of its kind where Armed Forces personnel remembered the fallen whilst attending both the National Sikh Museum and the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Derby.
Royal Air Force Museum Hendon Visit 0
On Wednesday 27th January 2010, The Head of The Royal Air Force Museum Hendon, Air Vice Marshal Peter Dye and Mr Peter Devitt (assistant curator) are paying a visit to the National Sikh Museum.
The invitation has been extended by The President of the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara – Mr Ragbir Singh Taggar along with the Head Priest – Mr Kulwinder Singh and the Head of Education – Dr Virk.
This visit is in return for a recent trip to the Royal Air Force Museum by members of the Gurdwara and allows the Royal Air Force Museum members a chance to see the National Sikh Museums growing collection of artefacts and historical information. It is also intended to further enhance the relationships between the two museums, by way of further support and the possibility of having some Royal Air Force artefacts on display in Derby.
