Education packs launch Comments Off

The National Sikh Museum has launched a series of modular educational packs in line with the UK National Curriculum -key stages 2 and 3. This is also aligned to QCA’s Religious Education syllabus.

Aimed at young children, it encourages them to walkthrough and capture the inspiration of the Sikhs through trails and quizzes.

School visits may also include a visit to the nearby Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara where the utmost respect and reverence will be observed. Education packs can be tailored to the School visit and aligned to where the pupils are in respect of a particular syllabus.

An enthrawling location that captures the historic aspects of Sikh heritage and also informs of the spiritual elements of the Sikh faith.

Cannons of the Khalsa Raaj Collection Comments Off

It is with great pleasure that a collection of distinct and rare Sikh cannons will be launched during the Vaisakhi celebrations on 19th April 2009.

This is a major coup for the British Sikh community who are very proud of this achievement which demonstrates the special partnership with British institutions and historic Trusts.

Actual artillery used during fierce battles during the two Khalsa Raaj periods of Banda Singh Bahadur and Maharajah Ranjeet Singh will be on display. Accompanied by a modern and authentic interpretation -prepare to be inspired.
